Waging War on Cancer 2011

June 18, 2011

Have a BLAST while supporting the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life!

The sport of paintball has proven to be a great way to get people together in fun to support a great cause. Maybe it's the rush of the balls whizzing by at 300 feet/second, maybe it's the eclectic collection of paintballers themselves representing elementary school-age children to grandparents. It could be the variety of "uniform" worn from pajama pants, to kilts to matching team camouflage. It could be the expansive variety of paintball markers from the "old-school" single shot pumps to guns capable of spitting out 25 balls per second. whatever the reason, paintball always draws a great crowd of fun folks, many bringing their entire families and all eager to have a great time.

If you can't attend but would still like to help in the fight against cancer, please DONATE here.

Relay For Life

The Relay for Life is right around the corner. This year it is going to be held July 29-30th at Barnes Park in Kaysville. For those that are new to this event, The American Cancer Society sponsors Relay for Life. It represents the hope that those lost to cancer will never be forgotten, and that those who face cancer will be supported, and that one day cancer will be eliminated. It is an overnight event consisting of teams of 8-15 people spending 12 to 24 hours walking or running around a track to raise money to fight cancer. Relay teams can raise money throughout the year prior to the event. Two highlights of the Relay are the survivorship activities and the luminaria ceremony.
